ABOUT ERASMUS+

Erasmus+ is a new program of the European Union for the period from 2014 to 2020, aimed at supporting projects, cooperation, academic mobility in the field of education, training, sports and youth policy.

The Erasmus + program is aimed at further facilitating the modernization and sustainable development of education and training systems, supporting the development of youth policy and sports, as well as improving skills and, thus, improving the employability of people. The new program involves a significant increase in investment in human development.

The international dimension of the program (i.e., cooperation with Partner Countries) is focused mainly on higher education with the possibility of cooperation also in the field of youth policy. In higher education, two Activities (Joint Master's Degrees and Jean Monet's program) are funded from the EU internal budget. For two other Actions (credit mobility and capacity building), funding is allocated from the fund for the development of external cooperation.

Participation of M.H. Dulati Taraz State University in international projects Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a new program of the European Union for the period from 2014 to 2020, aimed at supporting projects, cooperation, academic mobility in the field of education, training, sports and youth policy.

The Erasmus + program is aimed at further facilitating the modernization and sustainable development of education and training systems, supporting the development of youth policy and sports, as well as improving skills and, thus, improving the employability of people. The new program involves a significant increase in investment in human development.

In 2016, after several training seminars by the Erasmus + National Office in Kazakhstan, M.H. Dulati Taraz State University, for the first time filed project applications for 8 projects. In total, 736 applications from around the world were submitted for consideration by the European Commission, 147 new projects were selected to finance, of which 10 applications involving Kazakhstani universities. In three of them, M.H. Dulati Taraz State University.

1 project: “Undergraduate and professional master's programs for the development, administration, management and protection of computer networks in enterprises” - coordinator of Telematica University, Italy

2 project: “Improving innovative competencies and entrepreneurial skills in engineering education” - coordinator, Queen's University, Sweden

3 project: “Lifelong Learning on Sustainable Development” - coordinator of the University of Warsaw, Poland.

This is a huge achievement for the university, especially since our university participating for the first time won 3 projects at once. The main advantages of participating in the Erasmus + program are the exchange of experience between partner universities, internships and advanced training for university employees, joint educational programs and adequate project financing.
